From the time Kim was small, she was happiest with a crayon in her hand. Her love of art has continued throughout her life, Even while life necessities took her through a couple of decades working in the banking and insurance industries, she still spent her spare time painting.  When life twisted again in the summer of 2017, she decided to take the leap and make the creation of art her full time vocation. 

A self taught painter, working primarily in acrylic on canvas, she strives to create a mood or sense of place with her paintings, through the use of bold colour and sweeping brush strokes, accented by crisp lines and tiny dots. Recent work has been based in a love for books and wood, incorporating book pages, birch bark, pebbles, and old wood into her pieces as an homage to the beauty that can be found all around us.
