Emergency Operations Centre Management and Emergency Management Course
- Three days of training for emergency management practitioners from municipalities and organizations. It describes the roles and tasks of an Emergency Operations Centre and Site, and their relationship as components of a multi-agency coordination system.
Emergency Operations Centre Management Overview:
- Emergency Operations Centre Management describes and simulates the roles and tasks of an Emergency Operations Centre team and their relationship with a Site team.
- The target population consists of emergency management practitioners who are assigned the various roles of an Emergency Operations Centre team.
- This includes Community Emergency Management Coordinators and alternates, first response agencies including police, fire, EMS, public works, public health, utilities and others, municipal leaders and administrators, control and support group members, program committee members, additional EOC management team and IMS/ICS personnel and emergency management and preparedness personnel from organizations (private, non-governmental, government departments and agencies).
Emergency Site Management:
- Emergency Site Management describes and simulates the roles and tasks of a Site team and their relationship with an Emergency Operations Centre team.
- The target population consists of emergency management practitioners who are assigned the various roles of an emergency Site command post.
- This includes incident commanders, first response agencies including police, fire, EMS, public works, public health, utilities and others, additional Site management team and IMS/ICS personnel and emergency management and preparedness personnel from organizations (private, non-governmental, government departments and agencies).
Critical Care
- The program is designed to meet the needs of nurses currently employed in a critical care setting who wish to improve their knowledge and skills, or nurses who are currently working in other settings and wish to prepare themselves to function effectively in a critical care setting.
- The program’s 6 theory courses examine such topics as current trends in critical care nursing, the importance of reflective practice, the rationale for completing head to toe assessments of the following systems – respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, renal and gastrointestinal, anatomy and physiology of each system and the critical conditions that can affect each system, including the treatments and nursing interventions related to the care of the critically ill client and family
Wound Care Management
- Enhance theoretical knowledge and practical skills in caring for complex wounds, including leg ulcers. Equivalent to L1-Canadian Assoc. of Wound Care series.

Ethics For Career Consultants
- Reviewing, analysing and applying knowledge of ethics to various career coaching and counselling situations.
- This course meets the required 10-hours of ethics training outlined by the Career Development Practitioner’s Certification Board of Ontario.
- In this course, you will:
- Understand and appreciate ethical principles for Career Development Practitioners.
- Develop ethics in Career Development environments.
- Appreciate how ethics affect the relationship between clients and Career Development professionals.
- Apply practical and relevant use of the Code of Ethics.
