An exercise prescription is like a prescription you would take from your doctor to your pharmacy. They would prescribe your medication and you would follow the instructions.
Your exercise prescription works the same way. An exercise will be broken down into a few categories: sets, reps, frequency (daily vs every other day), if applicable weight/band colour, and there may be a hold time if it is a stretch. Following the exercise prescription is very important. If it says every other day, don't do them daily. If it says use 2lbs, don't use 5lbs. We know you're in a hurry to feel better, we want that for you too!! But recovery is a process, sometimes slower than we want it to be. But it will happen for you if you follow your exercise prescription.
