💦Water water water!💦 Who needs to hear this today? We hear this all the time. How can we hold ourselves accountable to drinking enough water? Everybody is different in the amount of water we should be drinking It is so good for our bodies to drink enough water. Our body will send us signals when it has not had enough water. Headaches and fatigue are two common symptoms one can experience if they do not drink enough water. You've heard the adage -- we all have. Drink eight glasses of water at 8 ounces each. It's the eight-by-eight rule that guides us to drink 64 ounces of water each day. Many of us have followed this advice for our entire lives, not knowing where it came from or why we need eight glasses of water. It is still good to follow this guideline because the majority of us do not drink enough water. There is no general consensus to how much water we should be drinking, but there is an adequate intake guideline. ** Drink half your body weight in ounces** This is a simple guideline that's easy to remember and usually easy to achieve. If you weigh 150 pounds, aim to drink 75 ounces of water each day. This is the only rule of thumb that accounts for different body sizes, but it doesn't account for thirst, climate, activity level or other factors. However you choose to consume these fluids is up to you. And, though these numbers are the closest thing we have to a recommended daily intake, even these numbers vary from person to person depending on a number of factors. Your may need more water if: • You have an active job • You exercise often • You live in a hot climate • You're pregnant or breastfeeding We can build a routine of drinking water by: • Drinking when you're thirsty • Drinking before/during or after a meal • Bringing water with you wherever you go Water is so good for your mental and physical well-being !
