As you may have seen from our posts already this month, Kneaded Care is celebrating our 15th anniversary! Over the course of this month, we'll be sharing stories and photos and memories, but we need to start at the beginning … In the beginning, Chantalle set up her one woman shop at Elkin Natural Health Centre. After some time there, she moved locations to Galuppi Hair Design. Not content to be bound by the limitations of not running her own shop, with the support of her husband Paul, Kneaded Care was born. Chantalle's name became well-known quickly. Much of what she had built had been done by word of mouth, and that word of mouth created a solid, well-respected reputation. It also earned Chantalle the Entrepreneur of the Year award from the Brantford-Brant Chamber of Commerce in 2009. Immediately thereafter Chantalle's life expanded again, as she and Paul celebrated the birth of their son Max. Before long, her business grew. Team members came and went, some staying for the long haul, some needing somewhere to learn and grow before they followed in Chantalle's footsteps and went out on their own, some moving on to new careers. And again, before long, her business grew again, and an expansion occurred – the clinic doubled in size both in terms of space, and in terms of staff. No longer a sole proprietorship, Kneaded Care became Kneaded Care Inc., and this enterprise was well on its way. Kneaded Care Inc. has been established as a Brantford-Brant mainstay. Well-known for an excellent care team, a strong community presence, a place where the client remains the priority, where employees are team members who are valued and respected, and still a place where we recognize that change creates growth. Kneaded Care Inc., having undergone another change to become Kneaded Care Wellness Centre, is what has stemmed from one woman's belief that nothing happens without change and growth.
